The Chelsea Physic Garden, one of London’s oldest gardens dating back to 1673, is offering a range of gardening courses throughout the year.

Hackney Herbal Garden
A social enterprise set up to educate the community on the benefits of herb growing, Hackney Herbal will be running a gardening course on how to plan for a full year’s worth of herb growing.
The course will cover everything from the best time and techniques for propagating herbs to how and when to harvest a variety of herbs as well as how to dry and store herbs.

Walworth Garden, an award-winning community garden in south London, is offering several courses this year, including their popular Introduction to Gardening course.

This one year garden design diploma at the English Gardening School, located at the Chelsea Physic garden, is a one-year course that takes place on Tuesdays each week.

Kew Diploma in HorticulturE at Kew gardens
Founded in 1840 in southwest London, Kew Gardens houses the largest and most diverse botanical collection in the world, spanning an impressive 330 acres.
The Kew Diploma is a 3 year course that offers practical training in amenity and botanical horticulture, and is ideal for those planning a career in horticulture.
Interviews are scheduled from February through to April, and successful applicants will begin the Kew Diploma in the September of the same year. kew.org
